As an advocate of corporate governance, BoardRoom was proud to be the main sponsor of the 3rd Corporate Governance Week for the third year running. We also sponsored the prestigious and highly-coveted Financial Journalist of the Year award at the 13th Investors’ Choice Awards 2012 dinner.

Mr Kim Teo, CEO of BoardRoom Ltd shared his views on panels discussing “Role of Corporate Governance in Restructuring Economies” and “Where Does corporate Governance Stand in Strategic Management?”. These two topics gave delegates insightful views from the panelists.

BoardRoom was also represented by Mr Raymond Ang, Associate Director of Internal Audit & Risk Management services, who spoke on ”Impact of Code of Corporate Governance (May 2012) on Singapore Companies” and shared with delegates the implications of the revised Code and some of the common reactions by Directors.

Mr Raymond Ang also moderated a workshop discussion as part of the Corporate Governance Week events, discussing “Practical Implementation of Corporate Governance in the Region” with panelists Ms Samantha Tai, Managing Director of BoardRoom Malaysia, and Mr Kelvin Loh, Managing Director of BoardRoom China. The three shared “real world” experiences in enforcing corporate governance in neighbouring countries with a focus on Malaysia and China.

The event was an overall success and we look forward to the event next year.
