Senior Manager Tax

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide service tax support and advice to clients.
  • Ensure overall satisfactory performance of team. Improve efficiency of division by improving procedures and processes.
  • Advise all business areas and support functions on various tax issues.
  • Contribute to growth and development of business division.
  • Lead the development of strategies and plans to deliver high quality professional advisory tax services to achieve client satisfaction.
  • Provide service tax support and advice to clients.
  • Develop overall targets, forecasting business opportunities aligned to the company’s overall strategic direction.
  • Proactively manage actual performance against targets and monitor performance and productivity for the division.
  • Assist the Executive Director to develop a strategic direction to build relationships with clients and other stakeholders both from within the firm and externally (generating fresh leads), identifying, spotting and leveraging on business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with all internal business units both locally and regionally.
  • Prepare business proposals and transactions review on tax related issues.
  • Keep abreast with local tax legislation and practice and network with tax authorities and professional bodies. Contribute tax articles to media and other publications.
  • Advise and direct all business areas and support functions on a broad range of tax issues including corporate, operational, business and personnel.
  • Implement and refine procedures and processes for the division to improve efficiencies and quality.
  • Monthly P&L reporting.
  • Build, mentor and grow the team
  • Attend a minimum of 20 hours training a year in both technical and soft skills.
  • Degree/Professional qualifications in in Accounting, Commerce or related fields
  • More than 10 years relevant Tax experience gained from medium to large sized accounting/tax firms or in house commercial practice
  • Extensive knowledge of local and international tax rules.
  • Strong business acumen and excellent Problem-Solving Skills
  • Able to work both in a team environment and independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organised, detailed and deadline oriented
