Tax Manager

Job Responsibilities
  • Proactive in business development for the Tax team.
  • Responsible for maintaining, building and increasing client base and revenue.
  • Provide excellent client service ensuring clients receive prompt responses to requests and queries.
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of existing and potential clients, their industry and key contacts.
  • Responsible for overall client servicing of the group and accountable for any jobs lost due to controllable reasons, e.g. poor client service.
  • Perform high-level review and provide value-add to the work to be submitted to clients, including liaising with authorities for issue resolution.
  • Perform review of work completed by subordinates to ensure accuracy and completeness and giving proper guidance and training.
  • Maintain good client relationship with a KPI of meeting key clients, in order to assess customer satisfaction for possible improvements and identify possible expansion of services.
  • Meet prospective clients and prepare fee proposals, including follow-through until the job is accepted or rejected.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the respective groups and ensure all communications with clients are supported by e-mails, outlining agreed action steps, responsibilities and deadlines.
  • Add value at Managers’ meetings and assist Director in following up on assigned actionable items in a timely manner.
  • Provide up to date and accurate management reporting and attend Management meetings on an ad-hoc and regular basis.
  • Work with IT on new IT initiatives for innovation and to improve productivity. Oversee projects, e.g. development of software, programs etc.
  • Diploma/Degree from reputable university/polytechnics
  • Minimum 4 -7 years of relevant work experiences.
  • Experienced in leading and manage at least 3 -5 team members
  • May be required to travel 3 to 4 times a year if necessary
  • Extensive knowledge of local and international tax rules.
