{"id":5143,"date":"2020-05-27T05:29:35","date_gmt":"2020-05-27T05:29:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.boardroomlimited.com\/hk\/?post_type=careers&#038;p=5143"},"modified":"2022-01-30T22:11:54","modified_gmt":"2022-01-30T22:11:54","slug":"senior-manager-manager-payroll","status":"publish","type":"careers","link":"https:\/\/www.boardroomlimited.com\/hk\/ch\/careers\/senior-manager-manager-payroll\/","title":{"rendered":"Senior Manager \/ Manager, Payroll"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row full_width=&#8221;stretch_row&#8221; css_animation=&#8221;slideInLeft&#8221; el_class=&#8221;career-content&#8221;][vc_column][vc_row_inner el_class=&#8221;m-t-50&#8243;][vc_column_inner][vc_custom_heading text=&#8221;Job Responsibilities&#8221; font_container=&#8221;tag:h5|text_align:left&#8221; use_theme_fonts=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Own and manage a book of client business.\u00a0 Manage and perform day-to-day payroll operations and ensure all communications with clients are supported by e-mails, outlining agreed action steps, responsibilities and deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for ensuring that commitment to clients is followed up in a timely manner, that the clients are satisfied and to continually engage with clients.<\/li>\n<li>Provide excellent customer service ensuring clients receive prompt responses to requests and queries.<\/li>\n<li>Develop an in-depth knowledge of existing and potential clients, their industry, and key contacts.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for overall client servicing of the book of business and be accountable for any jobs lost due to controllable reasons, e.g. poor client service.<\/li>\n<li>Perform high-level review and provide value-add to the work to be submitted to clients.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain good client relationship with a KPI of meeting a minimum of 2 key clients a month, in order to assess customer satisfaction for possible improvements and identify possible expansion of services.<\/li>\n<li>Review fee and propose fee adjustments where appropriate.<\/li>\n<li>Meet prospective clients and prepare fee proposals, including follow-through until the job is accepted or rejected.<\/li>\n<li>Perform variance analysis on the financial performances \/ payroll movements of the clients.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in the preparation of budgets and monthly forecasts and comparison with previous budget\/forecasts.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee credit control and prompt collection of debts for respective portfolio of clients.\u00a0 Work with Finance to follow up on outstanding and doubtful debts.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure prompt Billing and own responsibility for WIP. Perform finalisation of WIP cost and be prepared to be answerable for write-offs.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with the bankers on banking facilities and related matters.<\/li>\n<li>Formulate and review accounting processes \/ policies that apply throughout the department. Identify and recommend improvements to current policies &amp; procedures, processes and client servicing arrangements in line with current business and regulatory practices.<\/li>\n<li>Recommend and assist in the implementation of new or revised systems, procedures and records.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with strategic planning and development of business unit\u2019s performance. Develop and implement quality management strategies and plans (including resource, systems, timescales and financials) for the department\u2019s annual business plans.<\/li>\n<li>Provide and organise formal training that can be used for the unit\u2019s staff.<\/li>\n<li>Invest time into training staff to enable them to carry out their roles effectively and efficiently.<\/li>\n<li>Proactive in staff recruitment, mentoring, development and career path planning.<\/li>\n<li>Provide staff with regular feedback and evaluation.<\/li>\n<li>Add value at Managers\u2019 \/ HODs meetings and assist in following up on assigned actionable items in a timely manner.<\/li>\n<li>Provide up to date and accurate management reporting and attend management meetings on regular basis.<\/li>\n<li>Work with IT on new IT initiatives for innovation and to improve productivity.
