Bursa Malaysia’s Sustainability Reporting Requirements
Bursa Malaysia has enhanced their Sustainability Requirements for listed issuers, to support the global call for adoption of sustainable practices and international reporting standards.
Key highlights for Bursa’s Sustainability Reporting Requirements:
- Main market listed issuers, with FYE on or after 31 December 2023, are obligated to disclose common sustainability matters in their 2024 reports and move towards TCFD-aligned disclosures for FYE on or after 31 December 2025.
- ACE market listed issuers, with FYE on or after 31 December 2024, are required to report on prescribed sustainability information and adopt disclosures of the basic transition plan for FYE on or after 31 December 2026.
At this webinar, our Head of ESG, Tina Thomas, spoke on how these requirements will impact an organisation and what immediate actions need to be taken to ensure compliance.
