{"id":9667,"date":"2025-12-05T13:01:55","date_gmt":"2025-12-05T05:01:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.boardroomlimited.com\/my\/?post_type=careers&#038;p=9667"},"modified":"2025-12-05T13:02:26","modified_gmt":"2025-12-05T05:02:26","slug":"it-business-analyst-contract-2","status":"publish","type":"careers","link":"https:\/\/www.boardroomlimited.com\/my\/careers\/it-business-analyst-contract-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Senior Compliance Manager"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row full_width=&#8221;stretch_row&#8221; css_animation=&#8221;slideInLeft&#8221; el_class=&#8221;career-content&#8221;][vc_column][vc_row_inner el_class=&#8221;m-t-50&#8243;][vc_column_inner][vc_custom_heading text=&#8221;Job Responsibilities&#8221; font_container=&#8221;tag:h5|text_align:left&#8221; use_theme_fonts=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]Function &#8211; Specific Activity<\/p>\n<p>AML\/CFT and ABAC<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure the Company\u2019s policies and processes are kept up to date with relevant laws, regulations and guidelines in relation to AML\/CFT, Know Your Customer (KYC) and ABAC, including overseeing and implementing appropriate compliance programmes.<\/li>\n<li>Develop or enhance compliance policies, manuals, procedures, systems and control mechanisms in line with regulations and best practices, ensure that the policies are communicated with all employees in the Company.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure proactive and timely identification, assessment, advice and dissemination of evolving regulatory change\/practices throughout the Company across the region (with a focus on Malaysia).<\/li>\n<li>Maintain appropriate relationships with relevant regulators, authorities and independent auditors and liaise with them on audits, reporting and implementation of corrective measures.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee the completion and submission of Data &amp; Compliance Reports to BNM.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct regular Institutional Money Laundering\/Terrorism Financing Risk Assessments and Corruption Risk Assessments.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct internal compliance reviews on the AML\/CFT and ABAC compliance programmes to identify gaps against regulations and internal policies and recommend or implement corrective measures.<\/li>\n<li>Establish, enforce and maintain effective processes (including training and development of appropriate supporting tools) to ensure that compliance policies, procedures and standards are effectively implemented across the Company.<\/li>\n<li>Perform management reporting to the Board, Senior Management and Group Director, Legal &amp; Compliance on compliance risks and issues.<\/li>\n<li>Provides regulatory advisory on compliance-related matters to business units or member offices.<\/li>\n<li>Undertake investigations on suspicious transactions\/activities escalated to Compliance and submit STRs to BNM where necessary. Provide guidance to stakeholders concerned in regard to any follow-up actions and monitor the closure of such actions.<\/li>\n<li>Review and provide comments on ABAC-related matters in relation to client policies, agreements, contracts, questionnaires etc.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare training materials and provide trainings to the Board, Senior Management, new and existing employees on the Company\u2019s policies and compliance programmes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Beneficial Ownership reporting<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide advisory to business units in relation to the Companies Commission of Malaysia\u2019s (CCM) Guideline for The Reporting Framework for Beneficial Ownership of Legal Persons.<\/li>\n<li>Provide guidance to the business units on BNM and the CCM\u2019s respective Beneficial Ownership requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Assist business units with matters relating to the disclosure of the Company\u2019s shareholding\/Beneficial Ownership information to regulators\/external parties.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Risk Management<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support Group Risk on all Risk Management matters including manage Incident Reporting and Risk Register on the firm\u2019s Risk Management platform.<\/li>\n<li>Support Group Risk on Group Insurance, Personal Protection and Business Continuity Management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>People Management Activity<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Liaise with Regulators<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with Internal and External Auditors<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with Management<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with Business Units<\/li>\n<li>Report to Group Director, Legal &amp; use_theme_fonts=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>Education &amp; Experience<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in law, business, finance or compliance related disciplines.<\/li>\n<li>Certification\/Licensing Requirements: AML\/CFT certification e.g. International Compliance Association&#8217;s Advanced Certification in AML\/CFT or the Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist Certification is an advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 8 years of relevant experience within the Management Advisory\/ Financial Services\/ Investment industries.<\/li>\n<li>Sound understanding of compliance, with experience preferably gained from accounting, corporate secretarial, management services, banking\/ financial services and shared services firms.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in background check such as AML\/CFT screening, KYC\/CDD.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in performing Risk Assessment.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in Risk Management is preferred.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Preferred Skills &amp; Attributes<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to master a large volume of details and facts, set priorities and be persuasive in senior level discussions.<\/li>\n<li>Good interpersonal, influencing and networking skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently as well as good team player<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Microsoft Office such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint<\/li>\n<li>Ability to multi-task and stay focused on the big picture while addressing daily issues<\/li>\n<li>Ability to identify problems and issues and apply problem solving skills to provide solutions<\/li>\n<li>Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row full_width=&#8221;stretch_row&#8221;
